Medical Aesthetic Methods for Skin Rejuvenation

Cilt Gençleştirmek İçin Medikal Estetik Yöntemleri

Nowadays, having young and healthy skin is of great importance not only for women but also for men. For this reason, interest in medical aesthetic procedures aimed at reducing the signs of aging and giving the skin a younger, fresher appearance is growing day by day.

Medical Aesthetic Methods for Skin Rejuvenation

The medical aesthetic procedures used for skin rejuvenation are as follows:

Botox and Dermal Fillers

Botox and dermal fillers are among the most popular medical aesthetic treatments. Botox is particularly effective at reducing wrinkles by limiting the movement of facial muscles. It is commonly used to treat wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes. The procedure is completed in a short time, and its effects generally last 3–6 months.

Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are injected under the skin to add volume and fill deep wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are the most common. The effects of fillers vary between 6 and 18 months, depending on the substance used. They are used for purposes such as lip augmentation, increasing cheek volume, and reducing nasolabial folds.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy

PRP therapy involves injecting platelet-rich plasma—derived from the patient’s own blood—into the skin. Platelets are rich in growth factors, which help promote skin renewal and repair.

PRP treatment helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and blemishes on the skin. It also evens out skin tone, resulting in a more youthful and radiant appearance. The procedure is typically administered in 3–4 sessions, and its effects are long-lasting.

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels, which are among medical aesthetic procedures, involve applying chemical solutions to the skin’s surface to exfoliate the top layer of the skin. This method removes dead skin cells and allows new, healthy skin cells to emerge from beneath. Chemical peels are ideal for treating fine lines, acne scars, skin discoloration, and sun damage.

Peels are classified as superficial, medium, or deep based on their intensity. While superficial peels provide a mild exfoliating effect, deep peels offer a more intensive treatment.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a procedure in which components such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and hyaluronic acid are injected into the middle layer of the skin (mesoderm). The purpose of this method is to deliver the nutrients the skin needs directly beneath the skin’s surface. This helps to boost cell renewal and collagen production.

Mesotherapy helps maintain the skin’s moisture balance, increase its elasticity, and reduce fine lines. Typically administered in 4–6 sessions, mesotherapy is a safe treatment method that can be performed in any season. After the procedure, the skin gains a brighter, firmer, and more youthful appearance.

Radiofrequency (RF) Treatment

Radiofrequency treatment tightens the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin fibers beneath the skin. This method works by delivering radiofrequency waves beneath the skin. The heat generated increases collagen production in the skin, resulting in skin tightening. Radiofrequency treatment is used specifically to restore the facial contour, define the jawline, and reduce sagging in the neck area.

Medical aesthetic procedures offer effective and safe solutions for skin rejuvenation. Methods such as Botox and dermal fillers, PRP therapy, chemical peels, mesotherapy, and radiofrequency help reduce the signs of aging on the skin, helping you achieve a younger and healthier-looking complexion. To determine which of these treatments is best for you, consult a medical aesthetic physician to develop a personalized treatment plan.
